Our client is a leading supplier of laboratory chemicals, standards, reagents, consumables and instrumentation across many sectors in Ireland. Theyspecialise in equipment & consumables for R&D, life sciences, quality control, process measurement & environmental monitoring across the Pharmaceutical, Medical Devices research, Food and Beverage, Chemical industries and Education Sectors. They are currently seeking an Chemical Specialist who will work alongside their clients to provide solutions to their requirements. 1+ years previous internal sales experience required. The sucessful person shall deal with customers within their already strong client base.
Role/Responsibilities:
- Reporting toHead of Sales
- To be a strong link for the customers in the office from a Brand Management perspective
- Growing customer relationships
- Partnering with the Sales force to maintain and expand customer base
- Maintaining high service levels with existing customers
- Tender management
- Interact and coordinate with the sales specialists and all staff members working on the same accounts
- Reaching the targets and goals set for this role
- Compiling and analysing figures
- Collecting customer feedback and market research
- Keeping up to date with products and competitors
- Attend meetings & customer visits as and when required
Education/Qualifications:
- Science degree in Chemistry is essential
- At least 1 years’ Internal Sales/Product Specialist experience in related industry
- Ability to proficiently use industry standard IT systems (e.g. Microsoft Office, Email, Internet, etc)
- Ability to cope with pressure and to work to strict deadlines, prioritise workload, with excellent organisational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as a team as well as to work without direct supervision and use initiative
- Excellent administrative skills; thorough and accurate and able to work with attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong chemistry technical background
- Ideally have full drivers licence & own car
