Our client has been providing Medical equipment & instruments to ENT professionals for over 30 years. During this time, they have built their reputation for supplying quality and affordable items. They are a growing company now looking to hire additional headcount for the Sales Division. Over the last 3 years the business has trebled its turnover and is now looking to expand further. They have an excellent range of products working within some niche markets of the Healthcare sector.

They wish to grow their Irish team by hiring a Category Sales Specialist to assist the Sales Manager with sales across Ireland in the areas of Gynaecology, Forensic and Orthopaedic therapy areas. The successful person shall report to the Sales Director with the aim of our client increasing market share. Ideal background for the role is a Field Service Engineer looking to move into a sales role.


  • To increase the sales within the defined product categories.
  • Maintain existing customer relations.
  • Seek out new business opportunities.
  • Attend hospital exhibitions.
  • Assist with sales external to designated categories as required.
  • Proactive approach to all tasks undertaken.
  • Working with technical products including capital equipment and consumables.
  • Daily interaction with clinicians, surgeons, nursing staff, finance and procurement.
  • Training to customers on all new/existing equipment.

  • Full driving licence
  • Qualified to degree level or experienced in a similar role
  • Ideal background would be a Field Service Engineer looking to transition to sales
  • Ability to show technical competence
  • Quick to learn
  • Ability to work under pressure
