Our client is a leading distributer of Capital equipment & Consumables across Ireland in the Healthcare & Hospital Sector. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a recent cellular/molecular pathology graduate for a Technical Sales Specialist role. The successful person shall support and grow our clients existing customer portfolio.In this newly established role and utilizing our client’s strong reputation in the healthcare industry, you will maintain and develop long-term customer and supplier relationships while increasing our market share across the Republic of Ireland.

Role/Responsibilities:

• Visiting our client’s hospital-based lab customers across Ireland, building relationships, advising and selling our portfolio of products
• Developing new customers utilising your strong technical knowledge to advise and sell/cross sell
• Generate proposals, prepare sales quotations, plan customer meetings, and perform product demonstrations to showcase capabilities of product
• Provide technical and clinical leadership during the sales process by demonstrating the full range of products including potential uses, product capabilities and benefits to customers
• Monitor existing customer installations to improve customer satisfaction, maintain customer relationships and identify other opportunities
• Plan trade shows and professional conferences by performing product demonstration and customer training
• Use market and product knowledge to assist sales team in developing sales, marketing and customer service strategies
• Use appropriate sales pipeline management tools consistently and effectively to support sales goals
• Develop market plan, taking account of product life cycle, market trends and maturity
• Manage and develop supplier relationships, to include responsibility for meeting annual performance targets
• Demonstrate strong and consistent sales activity
• Develop solid knowledge of the market including competitors, customers and suppliers

• Third level scientific qualification essential- Molecular or Cellular Pathology preferred.You should have at least a higher diploma, but BSc, Masters, or PHD is preferable
• Lab experience or strong knowledge of laboratory operations essential
• Sales acumen and/or the desire to build a career in sales. Some experience in a sales role advantageous
• MS Office (word, excel and power point)
• Availability to travel across the Republic on an ongoing basis
• Full clean driving licence
• Enthusiastic with a growth mindset and a willingness to learn
