Process Equipment Engineer

Our client a multinational pharmaceutical company currently seek a Process Equipment Engineer to join their team. The Process Equipment Engineer will support API Manufacturing by maximising equipment uptime and providing expert process equipment knowledge during improvement projects and technology transfers. The role will focus on support and improvements to API Bulk Manufacturing Process Equipment and Utilities such as: Reactors, Filter Dryers, Transfer Pumps, Vacuum Pumps, Process Instrumentation, Purified Water Systems, Nitrogen, Instrument Air, Glycol, Steam. The successful candidate will become part of the vibrant API Engineering Team of twelve, within the Site Services department

Role/Responsibilities:

Process equipment troubleshooting leading to zero repeat failures
Gaining a high level of understanding of all process equipment to the become Process Equipment Subject Matter Expert (SME)
Identification and elimination of repeat equipment related downtime
Providing process equipment expertise to the Technical Operations group in support of NPI’s
Applying SME knowledge to the improvement of the equipment Preventative Maintenance plans
Represent the Engineering function at daily Operations meetings, take ownership of process equipment issues, and tracking to successful closure
Provide hands-on support to the Plant Support Engineers and Reliability Engineer in the day to day running of a 24/7 manufacturing plant.

Skills/Experience:

A third level degree in Mechanical, Chemical or Process Engineering
Several years’ experience in a regulated/GMP environment – ideally within the pharmaceutical/beverage/food industries
