Our client is a dynamic distribution business with teams across Ireland & the UK. They require a self-motivated individual for a Leinster/Dublin based Surgical Sales Territory Manager position. The current product portfolio comprises capital & consumables products in Enteral Feeding, airway management and ultrasound bladder scanning. There is significant opportunity to expand into new clinical areas and new accounts so the successful person will be required to possess strong business development skills and ability to generate business leads off their own ability. Attractive remuneration package for the right candidate. Theatre surgical sales experience or strong capital equipment sales experience into theatres is preferred. This is a customer facing sales role with responsibility for growing the company’s medical business in the Leinster Territory and the successful person shall be joining an established team. Currently the Medical Sales Team comprises 3 Sales professionals & 2 Nurse Advisors so someone who is a committed team player who works well as part of a cross functional team. The person must be willing to travel extensively across the territory and occasionally travel abroad to internal or supplier training events and conferences.

Role/Responsibilities:
Reporting directly to the Medical Devices Business Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing effective management of existing accounts in conjunction with our clients customer service team.
  • Business development in targeting potential new customers and expanding the product portfolio into the existing customer base.
  • To achieve annual sales revenue and profitability targets as agreed.
  • Ensuring the successful introduction of new products into both existing and new customers through product and procedure training programs and backing this up with regular communication of product and technical updates.
  • Ensuring that existing and potential customers understand and appreciate the full benefit and added value the product range provides.
  • Working in conjunction with higher management to establish sales targets which are aggressive, real and tied to the overall company strategy.
  • Continuously growing relationships with our existing and potential customers, our suppliers and our clients internal support team.
Qualifications/Experience:
  • Degree in Science/Medical or Business essential
  • A minimum of 2 years relevant sales/business development experience with strong surgical sales desirable.
  • A proven track record in sales of capital & consumable products is preferred.
  • Strong presentation, influencing and communication skills.
  • Professional approach, self-motivated, dynamic, accountable, team player and can-do attitude.
  • Experience of CRM (e.g. Salesforce)
  • A track record of sustained sales growth.
  • Full Irish drivers licence.
