We’re currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity with an award-winning Pharmaceutical organization based in Dublin. This is an excellent position for anyone who is looking to join a leading multinational who are one of the best at what they do.
The Dublin manufacturing site is undergoing a period of significant expansion, with multiple concurrent construction, operational, and transformation activities. This creates an increasingly complex risk landscape requiring strong coordination, oversight, and resilience capability.
The Business Resilience Specialist will play a critical role in supporting and stabilising the site’s Business Resilience program during this period. The role is responsible for the day-to-day execution and continuous improvement of key resilience disciplines, including Risk Management, Crisis Management, and Business Continuity. This is a hands-on role requiring an experienced resilience professional who can quickly build context, operate independently, and drive outcomes across a broad stakeholder network.
Duties:
Business Resilience Program Execution
- Support the ongoing operation of the site Business Resilience program across Risk Management, Crisis Management, and Business Continuity.
- Maintain governance structures, trackers, and reporting to ensure clear visibility of program health.
- Ensure alignment with company’s standards while adapting to local site needs.
- Maintain and actively manage the site risk portfolio, ensuring risks are clearly defined, assessed, and prioritised.
- Facilitate risk assessments and ensure actions are progressing and risks are actively managed.
- Support preparation of risk reviews and materials for site leadership.
- Support coordination of crisis management readiness, including crisis management plans, training, and documentation.
- Monitoring of current national and global events which may be impactful to operations or personnel.
- Support crisis activations as required, ensuring structured coordination and communication.
- Facilitate exercises and incorporate lessons learned into program improvements.
- Support the development and maintenance of Business Continuity plans across site functions in line with network expectations.
- Ensure plans remain aligned with current risks, site changes, and operational priorities.
- Facilitate Business Continuity exercises and scenario planning activities.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including Operations, Engineering, EHS, Quality, Digital, Capital Projects and external partners.
- Act as a central point of coordination for risk related activities across the site.
- Maintain structured documentation, trackers, and reporting tools to support program oversight.
- Prepare clear and concise updates for leadership as required.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, tools, and ways of working within the resilience program.
- 2+ years of relevant work experience with 1+ year experience in Inspection, Packaging and/or Solid Dosage operations/manufacturing environment.
- Experience operating within a regulated or complex operational environment (e.g. pharmaceutical, biotech, manufacturing).
- Experience facilitating risk assessments and business continuity planning processes.
- Technical writing skills.
- Familiarity with capital project or large-scale site expansion environments.
- Experience with risk assessment tools and methodologies (FMEA) preferred.
- Relevant certifications (e.g. FMEA, Business Continuity, Risk Management, Crisis Management).
- Experience with continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience with reporting tools (Power BI, Smartsheet, or similar).
