Field Sales Manager – Dublin
Our client is a leading national supplier of medical equipment to hospitals, nursing homes and private homes throughout Ireland. They promote a continuous drive for quality and customer satisfaction.
They are seeking a Field Sales Manager who will support the sale and rental of specialist medical equipment across the acute and community service. They are seeking a very strong people & Key account manager for this position; someone who still really enjoys selling as well as motivating a strong team to hit targets.
You will be required to support the growth of this business to ensure the long-term sustainability and performance of the business.
You will be highly motivated, ambitious, and dedicated to the development of new business in this new division. The role requires an individual who is dynamic, with strong sales skills and the ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders across the Group
Responsibilities:
Not limited to but will include:
- Generate and manage sales within the divisions, ensuring agreed quarterly and annual sales targets are delivered through a combination of appropriate activities with existing and potential customers to meet or exceed sales targets on an on-going basis.
- Develop and manage relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOL), including a range of senior health professionals and key suppliers.
- Take leadership from the Sales & Marketing Director for the sales strategy and drive its implementation.
- Ability to explore new clients, market potential and business opportunities.
- Ensure that all activities are undertaken in line with the overall requirements of the company sales plan and sales objectives.
- Keep up to date on market and product developments allied to the industry and keep representatives and management fully informed.
- To follow company procedures and attend all courses, seminars and training sessions as deemed necessary.
- Actively gather market intelligence and information related to competitor activities to support decision making on performance and allocating resource.
- Seek and evaluate new product ideas, providing adequate information and facilitate ongoing communication.
- Assist in product evaluations and / or clinical studies as appropriate.
- Work closely and effectively with the overall group sales team and with support functions to provide the best possible service to the customer and the patient.
- Participate in trade shows, training, and marketing activities as required.
- Assist with the contracts / tender process for all Key Accounts when necessary.
- Prioritise objectives and schedule work to make best use of time and resources.
- Maintain accurate records and submit timely reports for the Divisions
- Lead, coach and mentor a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Provide strategic direction and day-to-day support to a team expanding in size and scope, ensuring alignment with company goals.Ensure that you comply with risk-assessed policies and procedures relating to IT Security, Health and Safety

- Experience in executing territory sales plans.
- Strong commercial skills coupled with a highly developed analytical ability.

- Bachelors Degree preferred
- Proven sales calibre and sales growth driven.

- Ability to meet frequently with team members, customers, and other decision makers.
- Ability to travel frequently throughout assigned territory of ROI.
- Product or Procedural knowledge in medical devices is required.
- Ability to travel abroad for training, supplier meetings and conferences.
- Good negotiation skills

- Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with others.
- Proven experience in managing pressure, deadlines, and setbacks efficiently while maintaining commitment despite opposition.
