A Senior Manager - Clinical Laboratory Sciences is required to join a leading global pharmaceutical business in Cork. This is a 12 month Fixed Term Contract and you would be required on site 50% of the time. In this role you would lead a highly skilled team that is responsible for delivering reliable clinical data that enables business partners and customers to make informed clinical and healthcare decisions.

The Role

  • Provide solutions that enable the on-time delivery of the clinical portfolio.
  • Ensure that quality practices are at the core of all activities whether performed in-house or delegated to TPOs.
  • Lead, attract, retain, and develop a diverse workforce including the training and integration of new staff.
  • Create and sustain an environment where team members, functional partners, and TPO staff feel comfortable speaking up, sharing ideas and providing feedback.
  • Accountable for the successful development and implementation of deliverables for supported processes, molecules, and TPOs
  • Oversee vendor relationships, engagements, communications, and coordination to ensure resource alignment and meet prioritization needs
The Person

    • Bachelor’s degree, a scientific, medical or project management related field preferred.
    • 2+ years supervisory experience.
    • Knowledge of and experience with discipline-related processes and technology and emerging IT capabilities used for clinical trial data and labs
    • Ability to work in a virtual team environment, with outsourced partners.
    • Experience in clinical research and drug development.
    • Strong Project Management abilities (timeline, monitor, budget, risk management, prioritization).
